BRAVE NEW VOICES

Hey...my friend Robert Trujillo (come bien books), told me to spread the word about this spoken word competition called BRAVE NEW VOICES...voices from 45 cities will make 45 teams and obviously there will be only one champion...but that´s not all...you can watch the series narrated by Queen Latifah starting tomorrow April 5th, 7 episodes  airing HBO 11 PM ET/PT...

It´s just great to hear so many teenage voices...with so many ideas..teenagers all over the world are raising their voices...and this is one great example...

flashin' elements

I took these pics just for fun...but in those days (early 2008) I was getting pretty much interested in lights, really bright colors...and giving pictures a highlighted element which eyes could focus on...I'm still interested in these colors...my mixed media work is also combining people's images and these colors...just found them recently..

These three pictures make a little story about me being in an intimate flashing moment and on the bus in a crowded city, another opposite moment where i could find a bright element...the bus driver.

THese are my memories of  my 'sista's" birthday (circa 2006)...which now lives in Dominican Republic...I really miss her, and miss those moments with my true friends in san francisco...That night we were bowling...i'm so bad at it...lol!
